What to bring with you

Some items are provided but we would recommend:

 

Essentials

Bedding and towels

Make sure you bring sufficient bedding including pillows, linen and duvets or sleeping bags.

Clothes

Please take into account the amount of space the Maid will have for storage.  Bring clothes that can fit into drawers as well as cupboards.

We recommend you bring clothes that don’t crumple easily and a fleece and warm socks for those chilly evenings.

Suitable clothes for walking and working locks especially hard wearing gloves.

For wet and / chilly days: warm/waterproof coat, gloves and a warm hat.

Food and drink

We recommend you bring basic provisions especially for a meal the first night.  Tesco has a supermarket in Ellesmere where you can top-up when necessary.  Think about the right things to bring.  Tinned or dried food (which is non-perishable will be easily transferred and can also be kept on boards for the duration of your holiday,

Pets:

Bed, feeding bowls, lead, scoop and poo bags and towels for after their swim (planned or otherwise!).

Other useful items:

Sunglasses, sunhat, sun cream and mosquito repellent.

Mobile phone charger

Camera, binoculars, radio, CD player and games.

Cash as not all pubs and canal shops take card payments.

Picnic/folding chairs

Coolbox

Bicycles

Fishing rod

 

What not to bring!

Please do not bring a 240v hairdryer.  These will cause problems with the electricity supply.
